Welcome to my gallery, here is a little bit about me and my photography.
I’m currently the President of the Greymouth Photography Club. My addiction to photography began on holiday 14 years ago when I woke up at dawn to head out with my fishing rod only to find the tide was out. I noticed the beginnings of a beautiful sunrise, so picked up my husband’s camera and that was the end of fishing and the beginning of my passion for photography.
My journey with the Greymouth Photography Club began when I entered the Creative Click competition and at the prize giving met a number of members of the club. They were friendly and obviously shared my passion for photography, so I went to a club night and loved it. The people are awesome; we share our love of photography, enjoying trips out together with our cameras, making friends and learning as we go. In the early days of my photographic journey a number of members helped me so much with many aspects of photography, making me the photographer I am today, and now I get to help others. I’ve also made friends for life.
My main focus and love is nature photography, but I also enjoy photographing surfing, waves, landscapes, astro and arty / creative subjects; so a real mixed bag. Photography gives you the greatest gift; it opens your eyes to everything that is beautiful, unique, dramatic, small and different. It makes you look, and you realise how much you missed seeing before you had a camera.
